[Well. Here they are, in the void! Except they are not alone because perched on the top of Hunter's head, is a little red cardinal wearing a tiny party hat. What is the bird doing there? He's just chilling. Hunter glances Zelgadis' way, but doesn't say anything yet.
Will they acknowledge each other this time...? Mystery.]
[Zel's in a hallway on campus, tapping at his phone and staring at it with a mildly annoyed look. Noticing Hunter nearby, he looks up from the screen.]
[It's Wednesday night, and these two have had a chance to shower, patch up, and... now they've gotten around to the very necessary task of washing their clothes.
Zelgadis has reluctantly changed to the hot pink jumpsuit he arrived in. He sits on the floor of the laundry room, watching the washing machine rumble as it works. The blue-eyed kitten wanders about, climbing onto a shelf and curiously poking its head into a box of dryer sheets.]
[Happy Friday! Zelgadis is in the hallway their dorms are in, looking at his phone. His clothes are clean, and the rips that were on his shoulder and chest are no more. He glances over when he notices Hunter nearby.]
[Hey Hunter, checking out one of the new places? So is Zel. Very cool that they're in the same place at the same time, just in time to get dumped in a memory-hole.
a memory starts playing on the screen immediately.]
MEMORY: HEROICS
You find it before long -- a bandit camp just outside the village. They clearly weren't expecting anyone to retaliate after their raid. With a swift slash of your sword, you take out the man standing guard. The others climb to their feet and whirl around to see a very human you and your men.
You point your sword at them. "You shall return what you stole from the villagers!"
"Wh-who the hell're you!?"
"Get 'em!"
You lunge forward, striking two of them down with your sword. Your allies, an axe-wielding warrior and sword-carrying sorcerer follow your lead and take down a few more.
The remaining bandits turn to flee... right into your ambush. A fishman waits in the bushes, hurling balls of mucus at the last few men. It's all over in just a couple minutes.
You gather all of the ill-gotten goods: food, medicine, and valuables, and carry them back to town, where the great sage waits. You see him in his red robes, surrounded by villagers, working his healing miracles for them.
Upon seeing you, the children of the village shout and laugh with joy. The red-robed sage stands to face you with a look of approval. You can think of nothing more rewarding than the pride you feel in this moment.
[i guess he'll be in the garden they're all going to end up in! he's sitting under a large mushroom, holding his arm and looking it over. he's still wearing the shredded-up coat.]
[After execution, Zelgadis is at the Gigantica bar. He's sitting at a mushroom table with a beer in hand. Aqua, the kitten, is here too. She's climbing on top of mushrooms and trying to jump to taller ones.
[Hey Hunter, welcome to the Home Biome! It looks like Zelgadis wandered in here ahead of you.
The space has the appearance of a royal throne room. Pillars of marble, red carpets, and grand tapestries can be seen, and at the centre of it all, a great throne at one end of the room, with a blue banner hanging above it, displaying a crest depicting a golden dragon.
[Well, it's the evening and Zelgadis couldn't even bring himself to go somewhere to drink. He's just out on a bench somewhere, looking absolutely hollow and miserable. A pile of black and blue flower petals are on the ground around his feet.
He glances up to see Hunter, and glances away again... Then quietly, dryly, he utters:]
[Sorry they made you kill your girlfriend, Zelgadis... Hunter will seek him out a couple of hours after the execution, just to give him some space. Where is he?]
[Zel's just sitting on a bench somewhere outdoors. His clothes are still torn and bloody along the left arm and right shoulder. He's staring into space and looking completely defeated.]
[They're at (throws dart) the new bar! Hunter may or may not still be a tiny wolf depending on what would be funnier for you, Pazu. But he sits downs on one of the benches, anyway.]
[He's pouring himself a beer from the tap, and looks over... at wolf-Hunter because that is funniest. And he's just staring until the beer starts overflowing in the cup and he has to hastily turn off the tap.]
[after the trial, Zelgadis can be found at the ice bar. he glances to see Hunter, then looks back to his drink, a simple beer, and takes a big swig of it. he looks tense as all hell, but what can he do? it's over.]
[While Hunter is flying around the city, he can find Zelgadis, sitting on the edge of the roof of a tall skyscraper, gazing out at the city with his cape flapping behind him like he's Batman.]
[On Friday, Zelgadis can be found on a bench outside somewhere. He has a guitar in his hands and is playing a melancholy little tune. Aqua is there too, running about and entertaining herself by chasing anything that moves.]
week zero, sunday.
Will they acknowledge each other this time...? Mystery.]
